GKNM Hospital, Coimbatore, proudly marked a significant milestone in neonatal healthcare by successfully hosting the National NRP Day 2026 Basic NRP Course, organised by the National Neonatology Forum (NNF), India.

The event brought together our dedicated medical team for an intensive, four-hour hands-on training programme in the Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), a globally recognised, evidence-based initiative designed to equip healthcare professionals with life-saving skills for newborns in critical moments.

Participants were guided through a comprehensive training pathway covering all essential stages of neonatal resuscitation from Preparation for Birth through to Performance Evaluation, ensuring a thorough, structured approach to newborn emergency care.

The training emphasised simulation-based learning, enabling doctors, nurses, and allied health staff to practise real-world resuscitation scenarios in a safe and supervised environment. This equips our care teams to respond swiftly and effectively when every second counts.
