  2. Poor political will and commitment across the countries.
  3. Lack of awareness among the public as well as the healthcare fraternity.
  4. Better late than never, let’s join hands to eliminate TB globally.

The common man should understand a few things and get tested for TB.

  1. Cough for more than one month.
  2. Chronic fever, especially in the evening hours.
  3. Unknown weight loss.
  4. Known contact with TB. Please get tested for TB.
  5. Please be known that TB is a treatable and curable disease, and drugs given under TB Eradication Program are of good quality, and you are paid Rs 500 as a direct account transfer for nutrition needs.

  1. Know about TB Eradication Programme
  2. Know that you should refer all TB suspects to the nearest DOTS CENTREs where CXR, Sputum AFB smear, GENEXPERT, Line probe assays, drug sensitivity(primary & second line) and drugs are FREE
  3. Read and Learn the latest about TB
  4. If you don’t know how to treat TB, refer to the nearest Centre. Instead, don’t mess up with treatment(RCINEX 1BD, RCINEX in the morning, Ethambutol in the afternoon, Pyrazinamide at night, etc…)
