Biography
- Dr. Venkatesan. R is a surgical oncologist with over a decade of experience currently practicing at GKNM Hospital, he specializes in minimally invasive, laparoscopic, and robotic cancer surgeries. He completed his MBBS from Madras Medical College and MS in General Surgery from Stanley Medical College, followed by DNB in Surgical Oncology from Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences. To further refine his expertise, he pursued an international fellowship in laparoscopic colorectal surgery at CMUH (Taiwan) and completed a one year robotic surgery fellowship (FARIS ) under ARIS. He has also had the privilege of training under Padma Shri Dr Ravikannan at Cachar Cancer Hospital, Assam. He actively participates in national and international conferences and workshops, ensuring his patients benefit from the latest advancements in oncology.
