Biography
- Dr. Anurega Selvaraj is a proficient Pediatric Nephrologist with expertise in diagnosis and management of pediatric kidney diseases, dialysis therapies and renal transplantation.
- She began her medical education at Chettinad hospital and Research Institute, Chennai, and went on to pursue MD Pediatrics at Madurai Medical College, where she was the Gold Medalist of her batch. She subsequently completed two years of Senior Residency at GKNMH. She did two years of service in a government healthcare setting. She also obtained her DNB in Pediatrics from National Board of Examinations, New Delhi
- Dr. Anurega further specialized by completing a two year Post doctoral fellowship in Pediatric Nephrology at Christian Medical College, Vellore.
- Her special interests include congenital anamolies of the kidney and urinary tract, Urinary tract infections, Renal stone disease, Genetic kidney diseases, nocturnal enuresis(bed wetting) and thrombotic microangiopathies.
Clinical Expertise
- Diagnosis and management of difficult to treat and complicated nephrotic syndrome
- Diagnosis and management of glomerulonephritis and rapidly progressive renal failure
- Diagnosis and management of other acute and chronic kidney diseases
- She has hands on training in continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis care, hemodialysis ,plasmapheresis, renal biopsies, pediatric kidney transplantation and post transplant care
- She is committed to providing comprehensive, compassionate care to children with kidney disorders
