About the Doctor
Dr. Ahila Ayyavoo conducts annual free camp for children with diabetes. Paediatric Endocrinology at GKNM Hospital serves as a referral centre covering a population of more than one million. The hospital has one of the largest groups in India for the diagnosis & management of Turner syndrome disorders of sex development.

The John Funder Prize for the best PhD student research publication at Liggins Institute for the year 2013 – Awarded on 10th December, 2013 at Liggins Institute, University of Auckland, New Zealand.
Nominated for the top 18 doctoral theses of the year 2013 at the University of Auckland, New Zealand.
New Zealand India Research Institute grant, 2013 awarded as a co-principal investigator with Prof Wayne Cutfield for research in India. NZ$ 50,000 has been granted for a study on offspring of non-obese mothers with gestational diabetes.
