Live Intra Operative Echocardiography Workshop

It had attracted Cardiac Anaesthesiologists,Cardiologists and Cardiac Surgeons all over the country. More than 150 Delegates from Tamilnadu and Other States had participated.

Pioneers in the field, Dr.Chandrasekaran from USA, Dr.Muralidhar Kanchi from Banglore, Dr.C.Kumar from Chennai, and Dr.Deepak Borde from Mumbai were guided the workshop.

With state of art 3D Transesophageal Echo Probes, most advanced Echocardiography Machines and experts handling the patients and equipments three major heart surgeries were done on that day. Both preoperative and post operative Transesophageal Echo findings were discussed.

It was a live workshop where audience from the Hall could interact with the experts inside the operation theatre. The experts could educate the delegates and cleared their doubts then and there. It was one of the first such oppurtunity, where, Cardiac Anaesthesiologists could train themselves to tackle the critical decision making situations intraoperatively.

Dr.Ragupathy Veluswamy, Chief Executive Officer of GKNM Hospital started the workshop. He was accompanied by Dr.G.Manoharan, Chief Medical Officer of GKNM Hospital; Dr.P.Chandrasekar, Chairman Dept of Cardiothoracic & Vascular Surgery of GKNM Hospital and Cardiac Anesthesia Department Specialists of GKNM Hospital and Workshop Trainers.
