The Valvadi Narayanasamy Cancer Center hosted the Cancer Survivors Day Program on Saturday, June 8th, at the GKD Auditorium (A-Block) of GKNM Hospital.
The Valvadi Narayanasamy Cancer Center hosted the Cancer Survivors Day Program on Saturday, June 8th, at the GKD Auditorium (A-Block) of GKNM Hospital. The event commenced with a touching lamp-lighting ceremony by the survivors. Dr. Sivanesan, Chairman of the Department of Oncology, delivered the Welcome Address, followed by the Presidential Address from Dr. Manoharan, the Chief Medical Officer of GKNM Hospital.
Dr. Jayaprakash, Director of Manathin Maiyam, gave the Chief Guest Address, and Dr. Karthiga, Consultant Radiation Oncologist, offered the Vote of Thanks. The program also featured a special segment to honor the donors, and the survivors shared their powerful experiences of overcoming challenges.
Dr. A. Sharmila Banu delivered an inspiring motivational speech, and Dr. S. Gandhi, a Consultant in Traditional Yoga & Integrated Medicine Therapist, conducted a rejuvenating Yoga and Laughter Therapy session. The event celebrated hope and the strength of the survivor community.
