Diabetic Retinopathy is one of the leading causes of blindness in our country. With the help of indirect Opthalmoscope & Zeiss Fundus camera we routinely do a detailed retina examination for all Diabetic & Hypertensive patients to recognize early retinopathy changes. Fundus fluorescein angiogram is done in deserving cases to identify the extent of retinal damage in diabetes.
Glaucoma is a condition where in the Intra Ocular Pressure is increased above normal limits and patients with Glaucoma will become totally blind, if this condition is not diagnosed and treated properly in time. Intra Ocular Pressure is tested by means of Applanation Tonometer in our Department.
Slit lamp bio microscopy is done for all the patients coming to Ophthalmic Department. This is very much useful to examine the anterior segment of the eye. Slit lamp helps us to identify early Cataract changes in the eye.
Refraction is done routinely to diagnose and treat refractive errors
