Out Patient Registration :

The outpatient registration timings are from 8.00 am to 4.00 pm. On registration every out-patient is assigned an  unique Outpatient Number and issued an outpatient registration card.

 Emergency cases are seen at the Casualty located at 'C' Block. This department functions round the clock.

Inpatient Admission :

Admission formalities are carried out at the 'A ' block and 'C' block admission counters.  Please ensure accurate  information  is entered in the registration form and is as per the details in your ration card. The Receptionist will give you information about the availability of rooms, charges etc., An advance is to be paid at the time of admission. The advance amount depends upon the type of room you prefer and the nature of treatment.

Visitors :

Kindly restrict  the number of visitors. Visiting hours are from 4 pm to 7 pm every day. On Sundays and holidays, they may also visit between 10 am and 12 noon. Visitors and attenders are requested not to make any noise and not to sit on the patient's bed. Children below 5 years are not permitted to visit the hospital.

Attenders :

Patients in 'AC ' and 'A' Class rooms are permitted to have 2 attenders and 'B ' and  'dormitory ' class patients are allowed to have 1 attender. 2 additional   attender passes  will be  given to  patients admitted in suites. The attenders will be issued  passes, which  are to be displayed  for entry into the hospital.  On discharge the attender passes are to be returned  to the ward staff.  A penalty of Rs. 250 will be collected at the time of final bill settlement if the passes are not handed over.

Payment :

Advance and all payments can be made at 'A 'block'(7.30am – 7.00pm),   ' C' block (8.00 am – 8.00pm) , 'D' block (7.30 am- 5.00 pm) & Emergency block cash counters (round the clock).   Payment is accepted as cash / DD, as well as Credit Card. Personal Cheque is to be realised before the patient gets discharged from the hospital. A branch of Corporation Bank with ATM is located in the  hospital premises. If a patient moves from a higher class room into a lower class room or from a lower class  to a higher class, the  total charges will be for the higher class only. Charges for operation, Doctors consultation fee, anaesthetist fee and special procedures depend upon the class of room to which the patient is admitted.  All information regarding hospital charges / payments will be given by the    Receptionists / PRD.

Tips :

Patients  and  relatives are requested not to give any tips or gifts to the  hospital employees. However you are welcome to donate to the hospital trust fund.

IT exemptions for treatment :

Payment for treatment is exempted from income tax under section 17(2) and section 80 DDB for individuals for certain medical expenses. 

Donations :

The hospital accepts donations under 80 G of the Income Tax Act.  All donations through cheque /DD are to be drawn on Coimbatore in favour of the G. Kuppuswamy Naidu Charity Trust.

Dietary Services :

Diet including special / therapeutic diet  will be provided to all inpatients and their attendents (if required).  A liquid section is also functioning to cater the patients/family members while they are inside the hospital  where hot/cool drinks and fresh fruit juices will be provided. Qualified Dieticians give counseling and advice to both inpatients and out patients.  Food brought from outside is strictly restricted. Patients and family members are requested to co-operate and plan their hospital stay in accordance  with this.

  • Radiology & Imaging - It is equipped with X-ray units, Ultrasonogram machines, Mammogram and 256 slice CT  scanner.   It is capable of doing Angiogram, Colonoscopy etc., in addition to routine imaging procedures.

  • Regional Blood Transfusion Centre - ' Matron Ford Blood Bank ' started in the year 1975 has the privilege of being recognized as regional centre. It has facilities to separate and preserve blood components. The blood bank provides hi-tech, quality services by supplying infection free, safe blood and  blood components to the needy. The blood bank functions all through the year. Blood is being issued to neighbouring districts also.

Patients requiring blood transfusion are advised to arrange for donors, preferably the family members / voluntary donors.  In case of rare blood groups the blood bank Counsellor will help you in mobilizing the voluntary donors.

  • Stem Cell Laboratory - It is an established mode of treatment for various benign and malignant hematological diseases.

On line reports view / SMS :

Patients can view their lab results on the hospital website. The user name and password will be intimated to the patients through SMS . A copy of lab reports will also be sent if a valid E-mail ID has been provided at the time of registration.

Home Lab Services :

Home lab service is provided by the hospital for residences of the following areas (within a radius of 8 kms from the hospital) .

b . Pappanaickenpalayam

c . On Avinashi Road from Anna statue to Peelamedu

Belongings :

Patients  and relatives are advised not to bring any valuables to the hospital. The hospital is not responsible for the safety of the patient's valuables and money. When  going for an  operation / procedure, patients are advised to leave their valuables with their attenders.

For attenders of ICCU patients, lockers are provided in the ICCU waiting room. Keys can be obtained during day time from the Patient Guide posted in ICCU and after 5 p.m from the Receptionist in Emergency Block admission counter.   The locker facility  is also available in  Critical Care Units (Ward 16 &17), Peadiatric Intensive Care Unit ( Ward 11) and Medical Intensive Care Unit (Ward 22).  Keys can be obtained from the respective Ward Staff Nurses.   It is to be returned when the patient is shifted from the Intensive units to the ward.   Safety Lockers are available in the single rooms.

At the time of admission, you will be given a service feedback questionnaire. Kindly give your opinion. Your feed back will help us to further improve our services. It is also available in Public Relations Department in "C" Block.

No smoking and drinking :

Consuming alcohol / smoking  is strictly prohibited in the hospital. Please do not enter hospital after consuming alcohol.

Parking :

Two wheeler and four wheeler parking is available inside the hospital premises.  If the parking is full, the patient/ relatives can  go for outside parking whereever available and the hospital is not responsible for outside parking.
